Bhavat Bhavam and the 3rd and 5th Houses

Board 9/6/08:
I remember
you had said that Jupiter is the planet of consultancy, what
I would like to ask you is which house is the house of consultancy?
Is it the 9th house which is the house of teacher, guru or the
5th house which is the house of minister and adviser? Would
be glad if you answer this question.
My Post 9/10/08:
I take it as the 5th and 9th houses. Why? because the dharma
houses convey wisdom, and Jupiter is the karaka for both houses,
as the karaka of wisdom. If someone is a consultant usually
you see the 5th or 9th house involved and Jupiter. Using the
bhavat bhavam principle (house to house relationships) the 9th
is a higher octave of the 5th, being the 5th from the 5th. The
3rd house relates to information, corresponding to sign of Gemini,
with Mercury being the karaka of information. But information
is not necessarily wisdom. If the consultancy is more information
related than you would see more influences of the 3rd house
and Mercury. The 5th houses is the 3rd from the 3rd so it's
the higher octave of information - sage Parashara calls the
5th house the house of knowledge in the Brihat Parashara Hora
Shastra. At some point information turns into wisdom. This is
the distinction between Mercury and Jupiter, and the 3rd and
5th houses (and 9th house). Both Jupiter and Mercury are teachers
but of course Jupiter is the Guru, and Mercury communicates
ideas. Likewise, the 3rd house and the 5th house are the difference
between Mercury and Jupiter.
