Shortened Issue
Namaste Friends,
I am in the middle of a huge project of building a new website and consequently I can't take the time to create a full newsletter. The projects especially arduous because I've never done this before so there's a rather steep learning curve. (requiring lot's of chai and late nights!!)

Hopefully this will be ready for next month's issue. Stay tuned....

Yagnas (Fire Ceremonies) For World Peace
There are many groups around the world who are making extra efforts at this time to help maintain world peace through various kinds of rituals. For thousands of years fire ceremonies have been performed in india for this purpose. The ancient Vedic rishis or seers formulated specific mantras and procedures that can have a dramatic effect on purifying the atmosphere, not only locally but globally.

This month in Puttaparthi, South India there is an 11 day yagna fire ceremony being performed by 11 priests beginning February 23rd. My friends Craig and Jill Edwards from Maui, Hawaii have gone to India to attend. Most Hindu temples will perform specific fire ceremonies regularly but it's less common for a ceremony to be performed by many priests for an extended period of time like 11 days. More about yagnas in future issues.
