Namaste Friends,
People are often confused about the concepts of karma, fate and free will. Rightly so. There are a lot of varying opinions about how much free will we actually have, and how much our lives are pre-destined. The following quote by Swami Sri Yukteswar, the guru of Paramahansa Yogananda, sets the record straight better than any I've seen.
"A child is born on that day and at that hour when the celestial rays are in mathematical harmony with one's individual karma. His horoscope is a challenging portrait, revealing his unalterable past and it's probable future results. The message boldly blazoned across the heavens at the moment of birth is not meant to emphasize fate-the result of past good and evil-but to arouse man's will to escape from his universal thralldom. What he has done, he can undo."

Divisional charts, or vargas, are an important tool used in Vedic astrology to help refine predictive accuracy. Each are mathematical divisions of the natal chart, which is the only chart that reflects the actual astronomical positions of the planets. There are sixteen divisional charts in total with the navamsha chart, or the ninth division, being the most widely used of them all. The natal chart is considered the tree, while the navamsha chart is considered the fruit of the tree. It generally indicates the future or the direction that the planets are headed. If a planet is strong in the natal chart but weak in the navamsha chart then the planet is only moderately strong. K.N. Rao recommends always considering the navamsha chart before making any prediction.
The navamsha chart is also considered the chart of the spouse and relationship matters can be seen quite clearly in this chart. For instance, the following chart is of a woman who recently went through a divorce during her Mercury-Moon dasha.
We definitely live in exciting times when many new technologies will need to come into existence to offset the trend of environmental devastation. The following video clip reveals the latest in automobile technology - the water car. That's right, a car that runs on water - tap water, salt water etc. It's been developed by a Phillipino researcher, Daniel Dingle, over the past twenty years. He's converting dozens of normal, everyday cars so that they can run on water. Check it out!
