Confusion about Retrograde Saturn in 9th house

Postby strike » Wed May 16, 2012 12:33 pm

Hi,

With due respect to all the great astrological minds present in this amazing forum, I have a question.

I have come across a chart of a native (female) who has:
a) Pisces ascendant; Lagnesh Jupiter in 12th house (Aquarius)
b) 9th house Lord Mars is in 10th house
c) 5th lord moon in Cancer itself
d) And 11th & 12th house lord Saturn in 9th house being retrograde. And to add to the confusion, Saturn is vargottam as it occupies the same rashi in Navamsa

How do we interpret this chart from 9th house perspective? The fact that 9th house lord (Mars) is well placed in 10th house gives strength but at the same time retrograde Saturn saps the native of that advantage. Ret Sat indicates debt of previous birth relating to religion etc. However, I am at a loss in understanding how specifically we will interpret this particular configuration.

Any help in this regard would be extremely helpful :)

Thank You.
Warm Regards
