Re: Reading from the Moon for D60

I want to share about my Jupiter in the D-60 with Moon as the Lagna. It rules the 5th going to the 9th. Parasara says about this position that the person is a .... .....prince amongst men, he writes treatises......... Jupiter rules 8th bhava as well in this chart. I write about astrology.....in fact...

Re: Reading from the Moon for D60

Yes, my Sun and Moon exchange did come to pass. My mother took a back seat to my affairs and my father came to the forefront. My mother was also ill during her last years, but she well nursed (Venus and 12th bhava). My father is a cruel person in general, but eventually, in all every possible matter...

Re: Devdutt Pattanaik - Two Articles to Bring Your Attention to

Like between me and my classmate S Iswaran who was a few days before me, we paractically have all the planets in the same various signs. He is the Minister of Trade and Industry of Singapore but I am not. So it depends on : (1) The dasha he is experiencing - this depends on the Janma Nakshatra, the ...

Re: Reading from the Moon for D60

Parasara says from D60 you can read everything. So one can read D60 just like the Rashi chart. But since D60 is read for how past karma impact current life - primary karya house is 12th bhava- , and 60 is actually 12 x 5 meaning the future usage of past life karma, which is usage for this current li...

Some Useful Sites to Put Vedic Astrology in Perspective

Hi Learned Members The first link is on Swami Vivekanda's complete speech in Chicago in 1893. It shows how Vedic culture can help us to evolve our souls across all religions. http://www.wolindia.com/2011/10/swami-vivekananda-complete-speech-in.html As you know Panchanga printout for the Jataka is pr...

Re: Reading from the Moon for D60

Actually my Venus is in Cancer in D60. Thus Venus is in the 12th in D60 taking Moon as the Lagna. This after the exchange between the Sun and the Moon, the Sun is not conjuncting Venus. There my comments about being mercenary does not apply in my chart. Instead Venus being 12th to Sun in Leo in the ...

Reading from the Moon for D60

Hi Learned members Shilpa mentioned this point when she wrote about D60. Yes, it is true. As you know D60 is all about how past karma impact our lives. So it is also about we as spiritual beings, what we start off in life based on the spiritual blessings or curses given to us at birth. Now we evolve...

Re: Rahu and Lagna Pada : BPHS Sloaka 30.38

I thought the sloakas would be a general nomenclature that would get to the portion of the book published by any publisher. Anyway I bought the BPHS compiled by Dev Bhattacharyya. He has all the paragraphs of BPHS unstrung into separate neat paragraphs with ample white spaces before and after each p...

Re: Using Nakshatras at the Divisional Chart Level

Let's look at the general energy characteristic of nt Jupiter and Saturn from D27 : Jupiter is in 2nd pada of Uttara Bhadra which is Pisces Rasi and Virgo pada : It is a pushkara pada. This is a practical Jupiter even as it operates within the realm of spirituality. Saturn is in 4th pada of Swati wh...

Re: Suki Nadi : A Spiritual Yoga

Venus is inimical in Cacer yet in my chart the Lord of Cancer is Moon which aspects Venus, and in Jaimini any aspect between Moon and Venus is a Raja Yoga. And on top of of that Venus is in the correct pada of Pushya and pada placement is all important. My argument for the dog still stands. There mu...

Re: Using Nakshatras at the Divisional Chart Level

Another conclusion I draw is this :

A few good pada placements can easily overwrite any not so good pada placements in other divisional charts. Padas are Navamsa and Navamsa is God's chart. God never leave you down and out. He will always be at your side.

For info, my next Mahadasa is Mercury.

Mercury is in Pushya Pada 2 in D-10, just like Saturn is now in Pushya Pada 2 in D-4. So what can you expect?

Using Nakshatras at the Divisional Chart Level

Hi Learned Members I am now running Saturn-Jupiter dasha. Let's take a look at their Nakshatra placements at the divisional chart level. Remember, according to Mr. Paul Manley, one of his astrological friends even teaches the use of placements in Nakshatras even at the level of various divisional ch...

Re: Suki Nadi : A Spiritual Yoga

Implied meanings if done correctly by an enlightened person, can give very good insights to the astrological community. But the receiving end must be someone of a certain enlightened threshold as well, I am not saying you are not, but since the direction can go either way, the more astrologers on th...

Re: Suki Nadi : A Spiritual Yoga

Venus actually becomes very powerful 2nd to Sun, more so than any other planets. This also implies the devotion which Venus have for Sun as Venus chases away the cobwebs of Sun's resources (2nd to Sun). Implied meanings do not crumble the foundation of astrlogy. Saraswati Yoga.... a female name....s...

Re: Some Positions to Look Out For

I got this from a website. If your Moon+Saturn+Mars in the 2nd pada of Dhanista, you can do all kinds of job. I have Moon there but Mars rules Dhanista. Saturn also rules Capricorn which the NMoon is in. Mars and Saturn are also in mutual kendras. I have a somewhat less powerful form of this yoga.

Some Positions to Look Out For

Hi Learned Members (1) The 10th house is the 10th to the Lagna. The nakshatra that overlays the cusp of the 10th plays an important part in moulding the characteristic of the native. My Ascendant Nakshatra is Pushya. It is also the Yogic Point. But my 10th house cusp the Nakshatra overlaying it is A...

Rahu and Lagna Pada : BPHS Sloaka 30.38

Hi Learned Members I came across this sloaka in BPHS. Rahu in the seventh or twelfth from Lagna Pada or giving aspect to one of the above houses, the native gets gifted with spiritual knowledge and is very fortunate. My Lagna Pada is in the 10th (calculation with exceptions). Rahu in the 1st aspects...

Re: Suki Nadi : A Spiritual Yoga

Rathore : I will answer your other points first. There is no astrological text which says Venus can be taken as Saraswati. But it is implied in the scriptures by the fact that in some parts of the scriptures, both Saraswati and Lakshmi are both taken as the wives of Vishnu. And as Venus signifies wo...

Re: Suki Nadi : A Spiritual Yoga

The thing about the mountain and the tortoise in helping the churning of the ocean to gain nectar is interesting.

It shows that unless we have stability in our devotion to God and stability in our karma, retreating to the mountain to gain spiritual benefits would be minimal.

Re: Suki Nadi : A Spiritual Yoga

As for classifying Venus as an asura, that is like I said if you go by the axiom of Vedic Astrology. Mercury, Venus, Saturn and Rahu are one camp which are asuras. Sun, Jupiter, Mars, Moon and Ketu are devas which is another camp,. This has been mentioned in this blog umpteenth time. Venus is consid...
